Mark 7:6 | Always remember The Bible’s Definition of Hypocrisy, as Jesus stated: “People honoring God with their lips, but not their hearts.” Try to shed the world’s “religious” hypocrisy: “People behaving like ‘sinners’ then coming to church. See Isaiah 29:13-16, Matthew 9:10-13, 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5 and Titus 3:1-8.
Mark 7:7-13 | The religious leaders had created rules and practices that were disconnected from God’s Word. But Jesus points out that they had gone to the point of actually preventing them from following God’s Word! Always remember: never let traditions be “the thing”. Always be centered upon Jesus, the Messiah, the Rescuer! HE IS THE FULFILLMENT of God’s Commandments SO THAT we are free to participate with Him in the restoration of all things! See Colossians 2:6-23 and Galatians 3:15-29, Hebrews 9:8-10 and 10:1.
Galatians 5:16 | Remember: “walk” or “live” by the Spirit comes from the Greek word: PERIPATEO. This literally means “do everything”! Not just “churchy” stuff. Our entire lives are to be lived by the Spirit! See Colossians 3:1-17.
Galatians 5:17 | There is a battle inside of us. There are “two” you’s, but rather only the YOU that Jesus has saved and given new life! But the flesh struggles against the Spirit! This is because the flesh is diseased with sin! This is why you do not always do what you want. But the conflict is not evidence of doubt or failure, the conflict is evidence of the PRESENCE OF GOD inside your body, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit Himself! See Matthew 26:41 and Romans 7:1-8:11.
Galatians 5:22-23 | Never forget that these are not your fruit, they are HIS FRUIT. This is what HE produces in you and through you. These are non-religious (non-churchy) words (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control) that fit in every situation and context! These are His powerful gifts produced in us and through us so that His love flows to all people by way of HIS BODY…the Church! See John 15:1-17.
Galatians 5:24-25 | March in Step with the Spirit! Left! Left-Right-Left! LET’S GO! Now more than ever! In this midst of this crisis, God has prepared this time and this place for you to grow in faith, in trust, in hope and in love! See Romans 12:1-2!
