We need the Story.
We need the story because the waters rise and the winds blow. We need the story because the ground breaks and the trees fall. We need the story because no matter how hard we try, no matter how much we give, no matter where we go, it is never enough. It will never be enough.

We need the story because our stories are a mess. We need the story because we try so hard to write our own. We need the story because we have all these goals and dreams and hopes and plans and many times they don’t come true.
We need the story.
The Story of Jesus. This story gives us hope. This story is the only really true story.
My story is filled with what I want it to be. My story is based upon a “happy ending”.
His story is filled with love. His story defines love. His story demonstrates love. His story is “never ending”.
My story seeks the “happily ever after” while His story brings joy in the midst of reality. His story gives love. To everyone. To everyone’s story. No matter the details.
His story is what makes my story true.
His story is the anchor for my soul.
