1 Peter 5:7 | The most simple truth is that God cares for you. The lie persists: you don’t deserve His love and care. So memorize Galatians 2:20! It is the POWER of the Gospel: When Jesus was crucified, YOU were crucified with Him! The “you” which doesn’t deserve anything is DEAD, because now the REAL YOU, the resurrected YOU has Christ, the Glory of God, in your body!
Remember: Faith is living life on God’s Terms, and His terms are that He loves you and gave Himself for you!
Isaiah 53:4 | Jesus took up YOUR infirmities and carried YOUR sorrows! The lie persists: I’m alone. No one understands. Bring out Hebrews 4:15! Jesus has experienced everything we have, even worse, and YET was victorious FOR US!
Romans 5:1 | We have PEACE with God through Jesus! The lie persists: I have to fear God to please Him. This is the devil, once again, twisting and distorting God’s word!! Write 1 John 4:18 upon your heart!
“The Fear of the Lord” in Proverbs chapters 1-9 is caring about what God thinks and feels, because GOD IS LOVE!
When we “fear” God, we are not only recognizing His authority, but also His heart for His children: all people! It is written: PERFECT LOVE DRIVES OUT FEAR!
Isaiah 53:5 | The punishment was upon HIM! And that punishment healed US! Now the devil goes to his desperation play: Well then! That’s all fine, but He won’t save YOU! In that case, let’s go to Jairus’ house with Jesus when He said (while ignoring the devil’s lies) in Mark 5:36: “Don’t be afraid; just believe!” Jesus is HERE, NOW, to save YOU.
