NEW IDENTITY
Colossians 1:21-22 || It is never, “what you’ve done,” nor is it the “what you have to offer,” it is always WHO YOU ARE!
Your life’s value is never measured by your successes or failures, but rather by the work of Jesus as He has sought to adopt you into His family and to give you all that He is and has!

NEW PURPOSE
2 Corinthians 4:5-6 || What is your purpose in this life? Why were you born?
Dig Deeper: Romans chapter 12
Colossians 1:25-27 || Each of us has different vocations (that is: callings). We are called to be parents or children, employers or workers, teachers or students, neighbors or servants and much more. There are not “levels” of vocation. One is not “higher” than another. Each of us is needed in our vocations! We are called to them!
The purpose of the church is to “present to you the Word of God in its fullness!” We gather to receive His Word and then we scatter to fulfill our vocations. We are strengthened in Christ and then we “take Him” out into the world.
The mystery is that CHRIST IS IN YOU. This is indeed the HOPE of Glory! His light shines in us, and we take that light out and let it shine. Preachers preach, teachers teach, drawers draw, builders build, welders weld, singers sing, musicians play, students learn, moms mother and dads father, kids laugh and grow, siblings argue and protect and neighbors neighbor. We are called into each moment, bearing Christ Himself in our very bodies!
