Certainty
Romans 6:5-7 || One of the biggest questions people face: “How can I know that I’m saved?” When we are baptized, we have certainty of us being united with Jesus forever. This changes who we are. So, we cannot “loose” our salvation. The only path away from salvation is through consistent, intentional rejection of Jesus by “shipwrecking” the faith.

Fight!
Romans 6:12-13 || We have been “brought from death to life”! But the brokenness doesn’t give up. It eats away at us, seeking to pull us down. It invites us to put back on the chains. If we let it, it will indeed reign in our mortal bodies. So we fight! We struggle against the darkness, not so as to earn our freedom, but rather to not re-enter our bondage!

Who You Are
Romans 6:14 || The Law has no power over you. This is not because of what you have done. It is because of who you are: child of God. Jesus took all the punishment you deserved and instead poured out grace upon you.
