The Commandments
The Vertical: Who do we put our trust in? Whatever this is, that’s what our god is. The Horizontal: How then shall we live? We should repent of the double standards we all live by when it comes to thinking and talking about our neighbors –AND— the power to do this comes from the fact that Jesus has no such double standard when He thinks and talks about us: He gives us His Spirit!

How do we see One Another?
Exodus 20:16 || We should not lie about, betray or slander our neighbors. We should not destroy their reputations! Instead, we should defend our neighbors! We should speak well of them! And we should interpret all of their actions in The Best Possible Light. For this is exactly how Jesus keeps the commandment toward US! || How do we solve conflicts? Trust in the promises of Jesus and follow Him! Matthew 18:15!!!!

2 Corinthians 4:6, 5:14-16 || God, shines the light of life, the life of humanity, into the darkness of this broken world and into the darkness of our broken hearts. This light reveals His face to us. And, in His face, we see His love for us. AND! In His face, we then see His love for ALL! Now remember the Vertical: God came down to save us, through Jesus, by the power of His Spirit! HE GAVE US REST. But through all that He gives us, He invites us to share, to participate with Him in the Horizontal: Matthew 5:16!!!! He sets us free from things like revenge and retribution and instead puts with Him on His path of RESTORATION. We become His fellow restorers…because HE IS THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
