GET REAL
Acts 5:3-4 // Truth is the “belt” (See Ephesians 6:14-18!) which holds everything together. Lying, pretending, playing games, positioning, etc., are the opposite of truth.
JESUS IS ENOUGH
Acts 5:13-14 // What is the Church? God’s People. Who builds the Church? Jesus builds the Church.
ENEMIES COME
Acts 5:17 // When we follow Jesus, enemies will not sit idle.
GOSPEL = POWER
Acts 5:20 // The “full message of this new life” is the power of God upon this earth. See Romans 1:16-17, Romans 3:21-26, Galatians 3. This message brings hope! This message moves people from death to life by the power of the Holy Spirit!
TIME FOR TRUST
Acts 5:28-29 // Things are not always going to look like God is on our side. They are not always going to feel good. But we must trust God no matter what it looks or feels like!
IT IS FROM GOD
Acts 5:38-39 // The apostles had the power of God in them. The Church throughout history has the power of God in her. Praise & Worship has the power of God in her! And she cannot be stopped!
