Bondage of the Will

Bondage of the Will

So many people cling to the notion of "free will" despite that they cannot freely choose to always do the right thing. Scripture confirms this: "For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate."Romans 7:15. What we discover both in life and, more importantly, in God's word, is that our will is bound by another force: sin. So the debate is not about whether we have free will, but what to do about the prison we find ourselves in! And this prison is not only something that we have been born into, but something we help build and reinforce regularly!

We need the rescuer! And it is not going to be about some "sentimental" or "warm fuzzy" kind of feeling, but rather the POWER of the RISEN CHRIST who DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THE PRISON! Please join us for what might be one of the most important sections of Scripture in the whole Bible!

All of It

All of It

Good Friday is the day Jesus saved you. Why did He do it? Because He loves you. How did He do it? He went to the cross for you. What happened at the cross? That is where Jesus took your guilt: ALL OF IT. That is where Jesus took your shame: ALL OF IT. That is where Jesus took your sin: ALL OF IT? But He didn't just take those from you, He also GAVE you three things in exchange: HIS INNOCENCE, HIS GLORY, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS: ALL OF IT!
