BORN AGAIN
John 3:3, 5-6, 8 || Born again = Born from above = Born from God: By Water AND By Spirit. The Son of God is here to bring us into the family of God, by His Spirit, through His power, in His way, all because of HIS LOVE. WHO HE IS CHANGES WHO WE ARE.

LIFTED UP
John 3:14-15 || God works through MEANS. He gets in the "dirt" (Hebrew word for "human" [adam] comes from the word for "dirt" [adamah]) and works through stuff! Stuff like water, stuff like bronze snakes, stuff like wooden beams and nails, stuff like bread, stuff like wine. When you study God's Word, take special note whenever you see the word "through".

WHO IS JESUS?
John 3:16-17 || This is the CORE truth of God. This truth reflects WHO HE IS. It is the WHY behind everything He does.

ALREADY
John 3:18, 21 || This is the core truth of BEING CHRISTIAN. This is not about "good works" (even though good works are good!) or "avoiding sin" (even though we should!). This is about direction, not destination. This is about following Jesus. About participating in His Kingdom, His Mission, and His Love!
